“If
you’re on time, you’re late.” -former USA Men’s National Team coach
|
Players should be at practice early enough to help with court preparation and to begin stretching and warm-up. Habitually being late to practice is not fair to the team and could result in disciplinary
action. Players are expected to attend all practices and tournaments. It is the player’s responsibility to notify their coach in advance if they intend to miss practices
or tournaments. If you must miss a practice and cannot reach the coach in person,
a call to the Director will be necessary. The coach needs to be informed as soon
as possible so that the evenings practice plan can be adjusted. Each practice
session is very important to the development of the players and the team. If
you miss a practice, you are delaying your own, as well as the teams, development. While at practice you are expected
to give 100% of your attention and effort in all drills and scrimmages. Talking
or distracting others while at practice will not be tolerated. If you have a
question, please ask the coach for further explanation. Players must notify their
coach immediately of any injury or illness while at practice or tournaments. Jewelry
is not allowed at practices or tournaments so please leave it at home. Fellow
coaches and players shall be treated with respect at all times. Parents are always
welcome, but non-club players are not allowed at practices.
